Pre-Scheduled Mass Intentions
Due to the new Weekday and Sunday Mass Schedules, the following Mass times are no longer taking place: 7:15 AM (Thursday/ST); 7:15 AM (Friday/SFC); 8:30 AM (Saturday/ST); 8:30 AM (Sunday/SFC); and 11:30 AM (Sunday/SJB). Moving forward, parishioners with previously scheduled Mass Intentions for these specific Mass times have two options:

1.  Allow the Mass Intention to be sent to the Diocesan Seminary or to a particular Religious Order (Benedictine, Franciscan, Dominican, etc.) to be satisfied. However, once the Mass Intention is sent, we will not receive a specific date or time as to when it will be satisfied.
2.  Ask for your Mass Intention and $10 Stipend to be returned to you by Mary, Queen of Saints Parish. Due to Diocesan and Canonical Guidelines, we are not permitted to keep more Mass Intentions than can be satisfied in a calendar year. We are also not permitted to hold them until the opening of the 2027 Mass Intention Book.

Please be sure to call Judi Dalton in our Parish Office at 724-775-6363 if you have any questions or concerns about these Mass Intentions.

August 15th Vigil Mass Location Change
Please do not forget that due to the San Rocco Celebration the weekend of August 14-16, on the Saint Frances Cabrini Campus, the 6 PM SFC Vigil Mass on Saturday, August 15, will be moved to Saint John the Baptist Church at the same time.

Our Annual MQSP Picnic
We are just two weeks away from our annual Mary, Queen of Saints Parish Picnic. This year, we will gather at the Center Township Municipal Park on Sunday, August 23 from 12 PM to 4 PM. Our celebration will begin with Mass at 12 PM at the Main Pavilion. Join us for an afternoon of fellowship and fun. Please see details about the picnic in today’s bulletin.  I hope to see you there!

New MQSP Logo and Branding Coming Soon!
Over the last six months, our Parish Staff, Pastoral Council and Finance Council have been working behind the scenes with LPI, our bulletin company, to design a totally new parish logo. This new logo will be the official branding used on all parish mailings, letterhead, bulletin, campus signage, and on our website. Our current logo was originally meant to be temporary, but due to so many unplanned changes since 2021, it got lost in the mix of things. Please stay tuned for the unveiling of this new logo later this month.

Ministry of Wedding Coordinator
A Parish Wedding Coordinator works directly with the Priest or Deacon and the engaged couple preparing for their wedding. The Wedding Coordinator is the resource for questions about the couple’s wedding day: church environment (flowers, decorations, etc.), logistics (where to dress, where attendants stand/sit), photography and videography guidelines, and any other unique requirement for the bride and groom.   They contact the bride about one month prior to the wedding, reviewing details associated with the wedding day at the church. The Wedding Coordinator is present at both the Rehearsal and the Mass or Ceremony, in order to ensure that everything goes smoothly. A total of four hours per wedding are required for this ministry. Candidates for this particular ministry should be punctual, organized, detail-oriented, a natural leader, and comfortable working with different types of people. They must also be a registered and active parishioner and meet all of the Safe Environment Clearances required by the parish and diocese. If you feel called to this ministry, please contact Judi Dalton in our Parish Office at 724-775-6363 (x101).

OCIA – Becoming a Catholic
Are you a person who has not been baptized and would like to learn more about the Catholic faith, with the possibility of becoming Catholic? Are you a baptized Christian of another denomination who would like to learn about and possibly join the Catholic Tradition? Are you a baptized Roman Catholic who has not yet received your Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation and would like to become a full participant in the life of the Church? If so, come and see what the OCIA Program is all about. The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is a program for non-Catholics (and Catholics who’ve yet to be in full communion with the Church) who are interested in – or just thinking about – joining the Catholic Church. Each fall, our parish begins this program to welcome any and all that are curious about, interested in, or just want to know more about the Christian faith as it is lived and celebrated in the Roman Catholic Tradition. The process is less of a classroom experience than it is an amicable faith sharing among friends. If you are interested or would like additional information, please contact our Director of Adult Faith Formation, Don Fontana, at [email protected]. The OCIA Program will start in September.
