Sacristans

Typically, sacristans set up and put away the items needed for Mass such as chalices, ciboria, linens, cruets, the Lectionary and the Roman Missal, etc. as well as and various paraliturgical services. If you feel called to this service, pleases talk to one of our priests or contact the Parish Administrative Office at 724-775-6363, EXT. 101. Training will be provided.
 

Ushers

Ushers welcome and, at times, seat people who come to church for weekend and special Masses as well as other services and devotions. They identify and direct the gift bearers at Mass, take up collections and assist in guiding people at communion time and during processions. Ushers also attend to unexpected needs that may arise while on duty. For those looking to become an usher, please contact one of the current ushers at the church located within our parish where you would like to serve or call the Parish Administrative Office at 724-775-6363, EXT. 101.
 

Wedding Coordinators

Wedding Coordinators assist couples in making their wedding a prayerful, joyful and smooth running occasion. The responsibilities involve working cooperatively with the pastor, clergy, the parish music/liturgy personnel and church staff. Coordinators need to be familiar with the Catholic liturgical guidelines, especially those associated with the celebration of the Sacrament of Matrimony, and will assist with:

• Ensuring the church and bridal party's area are prepared for the rehearsal and wedding ceremony
• Offering direction to the wedding party during the rehearsal and actual ceremony
• Explaining the logistics of the wedding
• Monitoring various aspects of the ceremony to ensure they go accordingly
• Informing musicians, florists, photographers/videographers regarding the use of the church and appropriate placement of instruments/arrangements/equipment

A team of coordinators work with the couple at the church rehearsal and again on the wedding day. For those interested in this apostolate, please contact the Parish Administrative Office at 724-775-6363, EXT. 101.
 

Liturgical Environment

There are several opportunities throughout the year to volunteer to help with the decorating of church for various liturgical events and seasons. All are welcome to lend a hand! Please check the bulletin and our website for announcements regarding such activities.
