These are times of immense challenge and immense opportunity for the Catholic Church.
- Only 30% of Americans who were raised Catholic are still practicing.
- 10% of all adults in America are ex-Catholics.
- Only 60% of Catholics believe in a personal God.
In order to reverse these trends, the evangelizers must first be evangelized — in other words, Catholics in the pew must make a conscious choice to know and follow Jesus before they can draw others to Him.
Join MQS Pastor, Fr. John Gizler, III, on October 14, 21 and 28, from 6:30-8 PM in Sacred Heart Hall on the SFC Campus, for the Forming Intentional Disciples Experience. This program, designed by Dr. Sherry Weddell of the Catherine of Siena Institute, assists Catholics in transforming parish life from within, by starting with their own faith journeys. A $10 registration fee covers the cost of the text and materials. Only 20 spaces available for the cohort — a second cohort will be scheduled when spaces are filled.
Call Judi Dalton in the Parish Office at 724-775-6363, EXT. 101, to register!
