Hello Parishioners! Recently, the Clergy Team of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish was made aware of new emails impersonating them, specifically Fr. John Gizler, Fr. Celestine Xu and Fr. Gilbert Heater.
In order to properly dispose of these spam emails, we want to make you aware of examples and steps to follow. Here is a copy of an email that recently went to one of our staff members.

As you can see from the blue highlighted selection, this is not Fr. Gizler's email address. Always check the email address to see if the email is verified or not.
Any email from our clergy and staff will end in @maryqueenofsaints.org.Often times, these spam emails will request gift cards and money. As this example shows, the spam emails also asks for a favor — "There is something I would like you to do for me." Also, these emails will usually end with a request for a response back, as this email states, "Please let me know if you are free."When you see an email like this — and see that the sender is indeed not using an @maryqueenofsaints.org email address — please dispose of it. DO NOT REPLY, and do not give out personal information like bank account numbers, cell phone numbers, etc. If you have any questions regarding the validity of an email, you may reach out to me by email at [email protected].Thank you for your attention to this matter. God Bless! Rachael Palmer,MQS Director of Communications
