Bible Study will meet on October 16, 2019 at 9:30AM in the Faith Formation Room located in St. John the Baptist Pastoral Center, 1501 Virginia Avenue, Monaca. We will continue our study of Job, ch. 25-27, using in the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible by Scott Hahn & Curtis Mitch (RSV 2nd Catholic Edition). Wednesday, November 6, 2019 will be our next Fifty+Friends meeting. Join us for bingo, cards, games and a good time for all in Msgr. Farri Hall at 12Noon. Come have lunch, and meet a new friend. All are welcome.

The Stewardship Committee will meet on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 6:30PM in Msgr. Farri Hall. We will discuss plans for the 2020 Winter Carnival. All parishioners are invited to attend and to share new ideas.

Congratulations to now Deacon Jeff Craig, ordained to the diaconate in St. Peter’s Basilica, Rome, on Thursday, October 3, 2019, along with his North American College classmates. Jeff will return to Pittsburgh in June 2020 to be ordained a priest for service in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. May God grant him many years of faithful and effective service to the Church of Pittsburgh.

St. John the Baptist Parish, Monaca is planning a bus trip to the Shrine of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Nicholas Church set for October 17, 2019.  The bus will leave at 9:00AM with an expect return time of 2:00PM.  We will be stopping for lunch at Grant Street Grill.  Payment is for bus fare only.  Trip reservations are still available. High school juniors or seniors and their families are invited to a 'Get Acquainted Day Open House' at Saint Vincent College, Latrobe, on Saturday, October 19, 2019. The event will begin with registration and breakfast buffet from 8:30AM to 9:00AM in the Fred M. Rogers Center and will conclude at 12noon.  (For details, click on heading.)

Additional drivers are needed for the service provided through Faith in Action. Faith in Action is a nonprofit organization that provides clients with rides to doctor appointments within Beaver County. (For details, click on the heading.)

Members of the parish Holy Name Society (HNS) will lead all gathered in praying the Scriptural Rosary at 7:30AM prior to the 8:00AM Mass at St. John the Baptist Church on Sunday, October 13, 2019.  A HNS Meeting and continental breakfast will follow.  Please join us; everyone is welcome.

St. John the Baptist Pastoral Center will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2019 in observance of Columbus Day and reopen on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 9:00AM.

There will be a Flu Clinic sponsored by Walgreen’s on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 8:00AM to 12Noon in Msgr. Farri Hall, located in St. John the Baptist Pastoral Center, 1501 Virginia Avenue, Monaca. The flu shot is free on most insurances, so please remember to bring your insurance card(s). 

A special Mass, known as the White Mass and offered for those who work in the healthcare/medical field, will be offered on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 4:00PM in the Church of St. Frances Cabrini, 115 Trinity Drive, Center Township by Fr.
